Wholesalers face rising costs as couriers increase prices
In addition to rising freight costs, timely and reliable shipping has also been a challenge for wholesale businesses.

EVF predominately uses Startrack as its primary courier, who is owned by Australia Post. Australia Post have increased their domestic freight charges by 20% over the past 24 months, which falls in line with other couriers alike, as a result of increased operating costs.
Over the course of their recent price rises, Australia Post has made the following comment: "Like all logistics businesses, Australia Post is operating in an environment of increasing inflationary pressures and rising energy, fuel and labour costs". Further studies found that 24 percent of Australia Post customers were passing on the higher freight costs to their customers. In light of this, EVF offers Free Into Store (F.I.S.) order values, which if met are financially beneficial to both EVF and its customers and results in EVF not having to pass any freight costs onto its customers.
In addition to rising freight costs, timely and reliable shipping has also been a challenge for wholesale businesses. EVF has noticed that the delivery time for imports out of USA and Europe have risen dramatically since COVID and has not improved due to ongoing international conflict. We recommend planning ahead for stock orders on large projects that require significant purchase quantities.
